THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- In this position you will primarily be responsible for developing new products/processes for sales growth.
- Responsible for establishing definition of all process parameters for new products developed and effective transfer to the production technical support personnel as well as any required training.
- Support Continuous Improvement activities to improve key metrics.
- Develop proposals for trails while supervising and conducting trials on line, then evaluating results and report findings.
- Design and specify tooling/materials and processing equipment.
- Make recommendations on tooling and process changes that will improve the manufacturing process of the facility.
- Assist in providing a safe and clean working environment.
- Work directly with customers on product requirements and ensure timely and cost efficient approved development efforts.
- Review project status and update customers.
- Responsible for researching and acquiring new and replacement materials and general purchases.
- Indentify continuous improvement activities and ensuring completion, including supporting all engineer support requests.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Five plus years of experience in CAD systems with experience in drawing tooling designs in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Experience in Solidworks 3D a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of the plastic extrusion industry.
- Knowledge of CAD systems, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
- Must be detail-oriented with and possess excellent communication skills.
