Sr. Accountant (Manufacturing)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will lead the development of manufacturing accounting and costing, including analysis of manufacturing variance and project reporting including identification of manufacturing variances, trends, and efficiency metrics in support of the companies system sales business. Assists other Accounting managers and staff with period end closing, financial reporting, and other SEC compliance initiatives.
Candidates considered qualified for this position will possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors Degree with a major field of study in Accounting and/or five to ten years of experience is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess professional knowledge of cost accounting procedures, concepts and principles.
• Management or operation accounting experience with strong analytical abilities and problem solving capabilities is required.
• Must be able to operate computer, copier, telephone, and adding machine on a regular basis.
• Must be able to utilize Microsoft Word for word processing, Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook for email and scheduling communications, and Oracle and Clarify applications for asset transactions.
• Must be detail oriented, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines at one time.
