THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

  • Work with the production manager, warehouse manager, and purchasing manager to coordinate what should be manufactured, purchased, and assembled.
  • Schedule and plan the customer orders within the manufacturing department
  • Correspond and work as a liaison within the facility with various departments of the business regarding development and the programs of the company.
  • Responsible for the use of forecasting data and planning bills to ensure efficiency
  • Accountable for projects related to material such as lead time reductions, cost reduction targets, new scheduling processes, etc.
  • In time championing the company software program.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience being responsible for MRP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in material management, logistics, supply chain, etc or related field. (preferred)
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Great Plains software experience would be a big plus but not required.
  • Experience of Materials Management.
