This company has shown vast growth in the recent years and they are seeking to add an experienced Cost Accountant to their team.

- The company understands the value of their employees; therefore, to retain those employees this position will start with a competitive base salary of $45,000 - $60,000 with an additional 20% in bonus potential.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Coordinate the preparation of projected and budgeted material costs.
- Review and maintain standard and current material costs, update annually or as directed.
- Update all indirect and direct overhead budgets as they
- Prepare monthly reports based production results and compare to budget, prior year and forecast.
- Utilize COGS analysis to update monthly production.
- Identify and report on model cost changes on a monthly basis to ensure they are consistent with company policy.
- Work with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing engineering to determine cost impact of planned product costing.
- Analyze production reporting for the operations teams, while working with them to review current key business activities.
- Analyze gross margins by product, product class, and product line to identify areas in need of potential improvement.
- Assist billing and Accounts Payable when necessary.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
The ideal candidate must have:
• 5+ years experience of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Be proficient in ERP systems, fixed asset database management, Microsoft Excel, Access or Crystal Reports strongly desired.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Be hands-on.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials process and production data report.
