Our client, a community bank with locations throughout the Omaha/Council Bluffs area is currently seeking an SVP of Commercial Lending to help lead the commercial lending division of the bank. An executive level role that will play a key part in the banks continued success, growth and future.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

 

  • In this position you will hire, direct and evaluate the Commercial Loan department, while ensuring direct reports can meet the needs of the bank.
  • Examine and evaluate customer applications for commercial loans.
  • Oversee and ensure quality and accuracy of commercial loan portfolio.
  • Participate as a member of senior management in developing short and long-range plans, strategies for loans.
  • Service commercial loans and commercial accounts; generate commercial loans, deposits and new accounts.
  • Monitor customer needs and market trends for portfolio optimization.
  • Build relationships with present and prospective customers to drive loans.
  • Develop new business for the bank; not limited to loans.
  • Serve as a member of the Loan Committee, which makes evaluations of loan requests.
  • Provide management with a summary and detailed report, as requested on the current status of the loan portfolio with regards to delinquency, asset performance, and trends related to loan portfolio.

 

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

 

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field. 
  • 10+ yrs experience in commercial lending and related functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance, accounting and finance, and asset/liability management.
  • Create a good impression with internal/external clients, co-workers, and vendors; ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with the listed entities.
