As a native of Springfield, South Dakota, I believe in the old adage of Midwestern work ethic, which means we will not stop until the job is filled or completed. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in an industry that offers such challenges day after day.

Interests:

 I am a graduate from the University of Sioux Falls and I reside in the great community of Dell Rapids (just 12 minutes north of Sioux Falls) with my wife Stephanie and two young children. We are actively involved with St. Mary school and Church activities.

We want to learn and understand what opportunities would be most beneficial to the candidates that we work with. It comes down to long lasting relationships and representing the companies that top performers want to work for. Understanding our client’s needs inside and out, then delivering with the results and service they deserve. Our goal is to not only be an extension of the companies that we represent but a valuable resource of industry specific knowledge. Providing our clients the best possible candidates, not applicants, is how we stay ahead of our competition.

A native of Spearfish SD, I graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, with a BA in Business Administration. My professional career started in banking and led me to the exciting world of recruiting. I am a board member of Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce and also a member of Synergy in Sioux Falls. I participate in the World Vision organization and enjoy volunteering and getting involved wherever I can.

When out of the office, I surround myself with family and friends. I enjoy playing amateur baseball for the Dell Rapids Mudcats and getting back to the Black Hills to hunt and fish whenever possible. Notre Dame football is an addiction that I have been working on but Saturdays in the fall are all about the Irish.

Hometown/Education/Family

I am a graduate of the U of South Dakota with a BS degree in Psychology. I have lived most of my life in small town, Springfield SD, and plan to spend my life there. Growing up in a small town in the Midwest has influenced me to be a positive and compassionate person with strong family ties. It has also created my passion for the outdoors and everything in it. When not spending time with my family, I am an avid hunter and also enjoy fishing, golfing, and sporting events.

Life outside of ERC, Inc

If you can do it outside I’m involved; hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, and swimming.

Life Outside of ERC, Inc.

Most of my free time is spent with family and friends or whatever kind of project I have going on. Springfield has one of the best 9 hole golf courses in the state and I am usually out swinging away.

What intrigued you about the Staffing Profession?

My goal is to assist clients in developing a team of hardworking, committed employees. The professional experience I have provides me with a deeper understanding of the skills necessary to succeed and the candidates required to achieve that level of success. A Minnesota boy at heart, I spent my summers playing both Legion and Amateur Baseball for the Springfield, MN Tigers. I followed my love of the game west to Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management in 2001.

While I still throw a ball around in the summer I enjoy spending most of my time with my wife Sandy and son at our home in Sioux Falls, SD.

Ashley Van Den Top is the Operations Manager of ERC, Inc. She is a graduate of National American University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. Ashley is exclusively responsible for overseeing the daily operations and systems at ERC. Her robust attention to detail and organizational talent suits multiple roles within the operational team. Ashley plays a vital role in the implementation of operational programs and reporting systems for ERC.

Originally from Rock Valley, Iowa and a graduate of Hull Western Christian High School, Ashley is a true Midwestern girl with a Dutch heritage that produces a strong work ethic and a drive for success. In her free time she is a member of the dance team for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, NBA-Development League. Additionally, Ashley loves to be outdoors, she enjoys sports, and overall living life to the fullest.

About Me:

I was born and raised on a small farm just outside of Springfield SD. I grew up in the farming business, helping my father on the farm. I am married and have 2 wonderful children. When I am not work you can find me out on the golf course or spending time with my family.

I am a member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and a past president and active member of the Springfield Men’s Golf League.
